local environment, using high quality timber equipment that blends
in with the natural surroundings. this timber equipment is from
sustainable, managed forests and the wood used in the bridges and

Right To Play Award |

The Childrens Play Area |
Within the park there are various interesting
habitats; there are areas of flat grass-land as well as many sand
dunes, slopes and two streams. The park is a wild-life haven with a
host of wild flowers, including orchids, forget-me-nots, marsh
marigolds etc as well as being home to birds, rabbits, bees,
butterflies and a wide variety of other insects. |
| Grant funding has turned this area of
disused wasteland into an exciting facility for the whole community.
We have designed the park to provide stimulation of all the senses
and use natural golden sands as safer surfacing. |
| The 4 acre site encourages children to explore, run
about, make noise and gives them freedom to play with natural
materials, such as water, sand, plants and stone. It is used by many
people on low incomes and provides opportunity for parents to spend
quality time with their children in a fee, safe, stimulating
facility. |

The park is free and open all year round. It provides
opportunities for every age and ability to have fun and exercise
while learning about the environment and appreciate the
spectacular local environment.
