Eoropie Dunes Park is situated in the north of the Isle of Lewis in the Western Isles of Scotland and forms part of the community-owned Galson Estate.  Located on the edge of the village of Eoropie, the park borders the scenic sandy beach of Traigh Shandaigh, and is about one mile from the famous Butt of Lewis Lighthouse that was built in 1862 by David Stevenson and his brother Thomas Stevenson, father of the famous Scots author Robert Lewis Stevenson.

The play park is on the A857, about 27 miles from the island's main town of Stornoway.  Parking facilities are available adjacent to the site, as well as refreshments at the nearby Eoropie Tearoom

Port Beach House restaurant, which offers lunches, evening dinners and teas & refreshments, is situated in Port of Ness village, within 2 miles of the play park.  The restaurant also offers a children's menu and is adjacent to the nearest public toilet, also offering washing and shower facilities.

Public transport (buses) run regularly each day (excl Sunday) on the main Stornoway-Ness road (A857) and the B8013, which passes the park's entrance.

Eoropie Dunes Play Park is within a few hundred yards of the historic 12th century church of St Moluadh and the Ness FC football pitch and Social Club.

Approximately, one mile to the north of the play park is the famous Butt of Lewis lighthouse and the picturesque narrow sandy bay of Stoth.

About 1/2 mile south-east of the park, on the B8013, is Lionel School.  Also on the school site is the £2million Sporsnis sports & leisure centre, complete with soft play and changing facilities for young children.  The centre also has spacious indoor football and badminton areas, as well as a multi-gym, sauna, showers and toilets.  Soft drinks and confectionery can also be purchased here.

Other nearby places of interest include the Ness Historical Society museum in the village of Habost.
